We recently took a trip to the Winter Park Farmers’ Market. The market takes place every Saturday morning at the old Winter Park Amtrak Station that is located at 200 W. New England Avenue. We have never actually managed to get there early, so I don’t know exactly what time the festivities begin. But, farmers have a reputation for being early risers. Parking is available on the street, but becomes increasingly harder to come by the later you arrive. I am convinced that people get there early for the Farmer’s Market and then stick around for the shopping and restaurants on Park Avenue.
After roaming around the Farmers’ Market for a little while, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We were intrigued by the Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen. It’s a little annoying that you have to stalk other customers to get a table, but the coffee and breakfast food that we had were great. Some of the outdoor seating is set back slightly from the main thoroughfare down Park Avenue and was a great place for people watching.
