I recently received my 35th Fix from Stitch Fix, which just sounds crazy to me. I have come to love this service sooooo much and the arrival of that box always brings a smile to my face.
Here are a few of my favorite things about Stitch Fix:
- The Fixes get better and better the longer you use the service. Each Fix is supposed to contain 5 pieces specially picked for you. Through your Style Profile, you can decide what types of clothing you want (work/business casual, cocktail/wedding, laid-back casual, date night, etc.) and how adventurous you want to be in receiving items that may be outside your comfort zone.
- Petite items are available. I am only 5′ tall, so even “petite” size clothes, which usually range up to 5’4″, are still too long on me. With Stitch Fix, I am currently receiving pants, jeans, and skirts that do not require any alterations. I used to spend about $10-$15 per item getting pieces hemmed. [Maternity and men’s items are also available.]
- As the Fix is designed just for you, you shouldn’t have any of those awkward “Who Wore It Best” moments. This is one of the biggest selling features for me. I don’t want to wear the same thing as everyone else and Stitch Fix has allowed me to accomplish that.
- Each Fix comes with a note from your stylist with suggestions and each item also comes with a styling idea card. I have accumulated quite a few cards now, so I recently started hole-punching them so that I can keep them on a metal ring for easy viewing.
Other details about Stitch Fix that you should know:
- You will be sent 5 items at the frequency you select. I am currently receiving Fixes every 2-3 weeks.
- You will be charged a $20 styling fee. This fee is applied as a credit toward anything you purchase. If you don’t purchase anything, you still pay the $20 fee. The items are shipping to you free of charge and include a return envelope for any items you do not purchase.
- If you purchase all five items from your Fix, you receive a 25% discount on the total purchase. There have been several times when it was cheaper for me to purchase all five items than it would have been to send one item back.
So, what was in my latest Fix, you ask???
Five fantastic items, of course!!!
1. Sutherlin Contrast Print Knit Top by Le Lis – $54
I had made a special request for a black and white striped shirt a couple fixes ago and there hadn’t been anything available in my size. I am in love with this shirt, so it was definitely worth the wait.
Also pictured:
Johnny Skinny Jeans by Kensie Jeans [from my very first Fix!].
Half Moon reversible pant belt by Steve Madden.
Black spiked ballet flats by Sam Edelman – similar styles can be found here and here.
Trésors Toggle Bracelet by chloe + isabel – currently 50% off.
Retro Glam Square-Cut Crystal Bracelet by chloe + isabel.
Similar bracelets can be found here, here, here, and here.
Tortoise shell watch by Michael Kors.
2. Abernath Tie Sleeve Blouse by Papermoon – $54 and
3. Hanna Skinny Pant by Liverpool – $88
This top is super cute although the pattern didn’t photograph very well. It also features cute tie sleeves and an exposed zipper on the back. I’m all about the cute details.
Also pictured:
Interlocking Double Teardrop Necklace by chloe + isabel.
Organic link toggle bracelet by chloe + isabel – no longer available.
Black leather Getta pump by Madden Girl – similar available here.
4. Etsie Textured Knit Dress by Papermoon – $74 and
5. Asilah Drape Blazer by Alice Blue – $68
This outfit also did not translate well in photos and is much cuter in person.
Also pictured:
Art Deco Convertible Statement necklace by chloe + isabel.
Matching earrings, bracelet, and hair clip also available.
Black leather Getta pump by Madden Girl – similar available here.
I ended up keeping all five items, so it was another great Fix. Until next time….

Molly
